My name is Michelle Baisa, but most people call me Shelly. My heart is documentary nature photography with a special affinity towards close-ups and macros. I'm a serious introvert, yet somehow find myself very much at home with clients, treating them as friends and family. I'm a "helper" by nature and my commissioned work is very service-oriented. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist (at least, in my own opinion of what perfect is). I love creativity and DIY projects but have killer administrative skills which can probably be attributed to the fact that I was a stay-at-home supermom for 17 years. Nothing screams for order like 3 active children running amok. I've recently regained a love for self-portraiture, which keeps my creative juices flowing!
When I'm making photographs, I'm attempting to seek out personality and beauty, no matter if my subject is a person, part of nature, light, shadow, or even a seemingly random object. Nothing is just something. Everything and everyone has a story to tell and I love being a part of that storytelling process.
Session retainer fees begin at $150. They reserve your appointment and include your consultation(s), Michelle's time to plan and photograph your session, order processing and any other assistance you may need. Your retainer fee does not include any digital images, prints, or products.
